I use a holistic approach that focuses on healing from within by addressing the mind, body, and spirit. My therapeutic approaches are tailored to individual needs and may include Empowerment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET), Hypnotherapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. I also incorporate psychoeducation and Measurement-Based Care (MBC) to monitor progress and guide treatment.
I offer both in-office and secure virtual therapy sessions, depending on individual needs and availability. Virtual therapy is available to individuals physically located in Ohio and Kentucky, where I am licensed to provide mental health services.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss your concerns, and explore what you hope to accomplish through therapy. I will gather relevant background information, discuss current challenges, and work with you to identify potential treatment goals. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions and become familiar with the therapeutic process.
There is no expectation that you share everything during your first session. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will move at a pace that respects your comfort and individual needs.
And, if you are comfortable with a little feline company, you may meet members of the Furapy Five! With your permission, these four-legged assistants may join us to help create a relaxing atmosphere and ease some of those first-session jitters. They are excellent listeners, although their professional boundaries occasionally involve demanding attention, claiming the comfiest chair, or sleeping on the job!
